Saving a hardwood floor

In these photos, you will see how SERVPRO of Dubuque uses cutting edge technology to try and restore something that has been around for over a century.

We were called to an old community building in Eastern Iowa that had originally been a church.  A broken water supply line caused several hundred gallons of Category 1 water to be released in the building.  One of the rooms that was severely affected was the old sanctuary.

By the time we were called, the floors had soaked up enough water to become cupped and crowned.  We deployed one of our Injectidry units.  This innovative device utilizes mats taped to the floor to extract water from within the wood floor.
