Apartment complex fire continued
Apartment complex fire, continued
This series of photos are from an apartment fire in Dubuque, IA. A fire was started in the main entry way of the building doing significant fire damage to the entry stair on the first and second floors. There was also serious smoke and soot damage as well as odor to several other common areas as well as apartments.
SERVPRO of Dubuque worked with the building owner to clean the soot and smoke damage, deodorize the building, seal and repaint the surfaces.
In addition SERVPRO of Dubuque also handled the cleaning of several of the apartments in the building at the request of the tent's insurance companies. We cleaned and deodorized the contents in the apartments as well.
These photos are of the main stairway on a floor above the fire source. One of our production leads, Mike Rooney, is shown here cleaning with a chemical sponge. As you can see, he is nearly finished with the first round of dry cleaning. The blackest parts have not yet been cleaned once. A lot of work went into the cleaning between the before and after photos.
